Hospice of the Red River Valley (now doing business as HIA Hospice) was the first agency to bring end-of-life care to North Dakota. It all began in 1978 when a small group of visionaries living in Fargo recognized the value of providing specialized care for the final stages of life. We will utilize funds to  expand the scope and availability of grief and bereavement programming for North Central North Dakota clients served by our Minot office. Grief services in other HIA Hospice locations include individual and group counseling, outreach, remembrance services, along with mailings and other helpful materials for those affected by loss.
