March 2018 – Minot, N.D. – The Ward County Sheriff’s Department has been able to put more automated external defibrillators in its patrol cars thanks to a $4,800 grant from the St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation. There are now 16 cars equipped with the devices, according to a press release from the sheriff’s department. The sheriff’s department notes that the devices are a great benefit because deputies are often first to the scene of medical calls, particularly in rural areas.
