March 2019 – Minot, N.D. – More than 200 people attended the 20th annual St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation Grant Awards Luncheon held on March 14.

Grants totaling $270,000 were distributed to support a wide variety of area projects and the Twice Blessed grants, given on Jan. 31 in the amount of $558,038.37, were recognized at the 20th Regional Community Grant Awards luncheon.

Grants were distributed at the Grand Hotel in Minot for projects that impact the mental, physical, spiritual and/or emotional well-being of people in an 11-county area. Community swimming pool improvements, health/foot care clinics for seniors, a canoe launch facility, AED’s for first responders, education for nurses, 3D mammography unit, food pantries, wigs for cancer patients, walking paths, summer camp opportunities, university scholarships, and more were impacted by the grants given.

“We are thankful for the many organizations, board members, staff and volunteers who work tirelessly in our region to secure a better quality of life by identifying and serving the needs in their communities,” said Shelly Weppler, president of St. Joseph’s Community Health Foundation.
